We initially planned to visit Pompei in Rome during our Italy trip, but it demanded more time and didn’t fit in our schedule. Thus we visited the beautifully preserved Roman ruins of Ostia. Ostia Antica near Rome is like Pompei without people. The site still has remains from 4th century BC!! Ostia is even mentioned in my favourite movie Gladiator 🙂 . One more reason to visit this place. It was a pleasing experience to explore this ancient city on foot, walking by the theatre, bath places, houses. This is a really fascinating archaeological site to get a historical perspective of ancient Rome.
This purple maxi dress did great justice to the ancient site. The pictures say it all. The dress gelled so well with the background. I added these Gladiator sandals coz , when in Rome 🙂 . The statement coin necklace takes this look to the next level. Hope you like the pictures. Have a great day 🙂
