Last weekend I attended the Gay Pride festival in Amsterdam. It has been organized annually since 1996. I must admit that it is the most fun event I’ve ever been to. Parade of beautiful boats in famous canals carrying dancing and partying people. Drag queens singing, with the crowd grooving to their music. Big displays of colors and multiple themed boats. It was like a real big party in Amsterdam last weekend. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun, and so did we.
In the afternoon we had the Gay Pride Parade where around 80 boats were sailing the canals displaying the celebration of gay pride in their own unique way. It was a fun atmosphere in whole of the Amsterdam . In the evening, people would party in their own boats. There were tourists from all across the globe, everyone mingling with each other. There were DJ parties everywhere and the whole Amsterdam was celebrating the equality of gay, lesbian and bisexual communities.
Crop Tops were a thing in the 80s and 90s when everyone from Madonna to Britney would flaunt their washboard abs in pop videos. Then they disappeared off the scene. Now they’re back and with a bang! They’re a favourite of Taylor Swift, Kendal Jenner and Gigi Hadid these days. I too followed the suit and got myself into a striped crop top and black jeans to add a sense of balance to the shorter top.
I’m loving the midi rings trend these days. I love jewellery. For me, more is better. I love how adorning a stack of 5 or 6 midi rings adds such a casual chic vibe to your whole look.
And did I tell you about my current favourite sneakers yet? There’s something about these white sneakers that has everyone raving about. I’ll write more about them in my next post maybe.
