The island of the winds – Mykonos

Morning sea breeze, blue skies, whitewashed little houses with blue doors and maze-like hand-painted streets. This was Mykonos for me, one of the most popular islands in the Aegean Sea. After having some amazing and inspirational time in Athens, we left for Mykonos in a ferry . The view of the Aegean sea and the little islands on the way was really beautiful and soothing. Reaching Mykonos was scenic calming ride.

On our first day in Mykonos, we walked around the town, exploring the beautiful narrow streets, white houses, cute little shops and ‘Little Venice‘. We watched the beautiful sunset from the cliff near the 5 famous Windmills. I can’t express in words but the experience was really magical and romantic. Prashant and I felt so lucky to be living this moment together 🙂

On our second day, I did a small shoot in the morning in our hotel 😉 Will be putting up the pictures soon. Then in the afternoon, we explored the island of Delos. This historic site has some amazing artefacts and ancient ruins. Here you can let your imagination run wild. 🙂 And don’t miss the hike to the top of the cliff . It’s a lot of steps and is pretty dangerous but once you reach the top , the view is like the one you’ve never seen before!!

After returning from Delos, we rented a Scooter and rode around the island and the beaches.  We visited the beautiful beaches of Ornos and Platis giolas and ended up relaxing and taking a dip at Paradise beach. Mykonos is famous for its party scene and you could pretty well witness it on its beaches. I would say that, renting the scooter was the best decision we made that day. Exploring the island , singing songs while riding the bike bought my teenage memories back to me . In  the evening we had a beautiful little dinner with the view of the Aegean sea and lit up luxury yatchs with partying people inside them. Hope you like the pictures.
