Hey Guys, whats’s up! It’s 3 am here am I’m writing this Post about my day 2 in Prague. Well I intended to hit the publish button 3 hours back, but then I came across this amazing website WithChic. Man! So much stuff to choose from. I dunno where the hours went by. I have like 10 items in my Wishlist already and I’m pretty choosy normally. Maybe it’s because of the discounted prices for the Thrifty me. I mean $10 for a lace Blazer! Damn I’m getting it. And it ships worldwide for free with no minimum charges. Isn’t that awesome! So do take a look at www.withchic.com, but make sure you don’t spend the whole night browsing stuff like me :D.
Well Day 2 in Prague was pretty much awesome with the exception that my phone got stolen . It didn’t even get to celebrate its birthday yet, unlike me 😀 (that was a cheesy line right :p) . Places like Paris, Prague and Amsterdam are filled with pickpocketers, so you gotta be more careful. Well I learned my lesson the hard way. And maybe it’s something with me and smartphones. I don’t get to change my phones. They’re taken away from me. I lost my last phone in Canada last year. Well, it wasn’t stolen but lost 😀 . Please spare my carelessness, normally I’m pretty careful. Ok Ok I know you guys don’t trust me after this. But I recently got Galaxy S6 and I promised that I’ll be more careful with this one. (Fingers crossed)
The Prague Castle was the main highlight on this day. It’s the largest castle in the whole world so it was justified to dedicate it most of the day. Gorgeous architecture, so much history and amazing views of the city from the top, Prague castle is a must see if you’re visiting Prague. We watched the changing of guards, St. Vitus cathedral and beautiful gardens, but the best place was the Golden Lane where you could see how people used to live, what they wore, ancient Armour and much more.
We were done with Prague Castle by evening. We then reached Letna and took a cable trolley (Funicular Railway) to reach Letna Park . You could see Petrin Tower which is a miniature version of Effiel Tower. Letna Park was amazing to relax and to grab a Beer or two. We wandered through the streets of Prague in the evening, passed by Valtava river, watched the beautiful Dancing House, Prague looks so beautiful in golden light in the night.
By now I’ve realized that I don’t like any other outfit as much as a Maxi Dresses or Skirts. If I am allowed I would make Maxi dress as our national dress 🙂 . Well to think of it, most of our ethnic wear are Maxis be it Saris or Lehengas 🙂 . Oh I miss Saris so much here. I wore this striped maxi skirt for the day. The double slits are a trendy take on the skirt. I paired it up with a sheer lace top and white sneakers. The end result was a clean silhouette with a sophisticated edge yet easygoing vibe.
