Top 8 Skincare questions answered for the FOREO LUNA GO

Hey guys! How are you? So a few weeks back I showed you this tiny little macaroon on my Instagram and you guys seemed to be really curious and wanted to know more. This is the FOREO LUNA GO and is a portable face cleansing device made out of silicone bristles. I’ll be answering all your questions today.

Question 1: How do you use the LUNA GO?

When you have foundation or heavy makeup on do this extra step –  Use a cotton pad with cleansing milk to remove makeup. I personally use Face halo makeup removing pad or a muslin cloth just because they’re reusable and environment-friendly.

Wash your face. Apply a tiny amount of your favourite cleanser (make sure it’s not gritty to avoid ruining the bristles on FOREO. Turn on the FOREO LUNA GO and gently glide it around your face for 1 min. After every pause the LED light blinks, which means it’s time to move onto the next area. After the cycle ends, wash your face again and apply your favourite skin care products. Now’s the time for my favourite part. Massage the Anti-Aging side onto the wrinkle prone areas(like smile lines, forehead, close to your eyes etc) for about a minute.

Question 2: Is the LUNA GO better than Clarisonic?

I don’t have Clarisonic but I have a similar version from Braun. It’s an epilator which also comes with a brush head and could be used to clean the face. I don’t personally use it since the bristles could be really abrasive compared to the soft silicone bristles of FOREO. Also, you do need to replace the brush heads after a couple of uses unlike the FOREO LUNA GO. So the LUNA GO is definitely a one time investment there, and a yay from my end

Question 3: Can people with acne use it?

When you have acne you have to make sure that you don’t irritate the existing acne. Just be really gentle and glide the device on your face really gently. No scrubbing since that might create more problems. In the beginning, start slowly and use the device once or twice a week and gradually build up from there and see how your skin responds. With proper cleansing, your skin products/ dermatologist approved medication will absorb better and help with the acne in the long run.

Question 4: Can you charge it?

Yes, its rechargeable and includes fast charging. One charge lasts 60 days with FOREO LUNA GO.

Question 5: Does it harm your skin if used regularly?

Anything has the potential to harm if not used properly. The bristles on FOREO are really gentle and with the right use it can never harm your skin. Make sure to only glide and not scrub your face and see how much of a frequent usage works best for your skin. I personally love to use the cleansing side at night and give my skin some rest in the morning. In the morning I only use water to wash my face to keep the PH level balance. Moderation is the key for the best results.

Question 6: How does it help with Anti-Aging?

The device breaks the myths of Anti-Aging and could be used for any age. Prevention is better than cure right? The Anti-Aging side works by pulsating. The gentle pulsations help to increase the blood circulation in the wrinkle prone areas, by massaging it. The increased blood flow helps with healing and keep the wrinkles at bay.

Question 7: Is it suitable for all skin types?

It comes in various varieties for your skin type. You can choose between Combination/Normal/Sensitive/Oily. I personally use the pink normal version.

Question 8: Do you see any difference?

My skin definitely feels better since it’s clean and product absorption is better. So the products really work. Also, whenever I fail to cleanse my face properly at night, I get breakouts in the morning. The device makes sure that I take the extra time to thoroughly clean my face before bed. The anti-aging side is my favourite and I love using it as part of my AM and PM routine.

Also wanted to say that you can also clean your makeup brushes using FOREO LUNA GO Just rub them on the bristles. I usually do this when I’m traveling and only have access to a few dirty eye makeup brushes.
