London is like my second home. I visit the city very often for meetings and events. A few days back I got the chance to stay at the famous boutique hotel, The Portobello Hotel during my visit and I can’t wait to share all about it.
The Portobello Hotel is located in Notting Hill very close to the famous Portobello market. However, don’t worry, the property is located on a quiet residential street just 10 minutes walk from the tube station and with restaurants and markets in the immediate vicinity.
The hotel is absolutely charming and cosy and the staff goes out of their way to make sure that you have the most comfortable stay. Each room in the Portobello Hotel is unique and has its own character. I got to experience two rooms in the hotel.
Room 1
My first room (coincidentally Room 1) was a colourful ocean-themed large room located on the ground floor with plenty of natural light. The room had a private terrace, gorgeous interior, luxurious bath separated by a wall and a reading space. The incredible seashell decorations were outstanding.
Room 2
My second room was on the top overlooking Stanley Gardens and had the most beautiful bath! The luxurious room had wonderful English yet modern decor and ambience. Waking up in the morning and enjoying the fresh air on the tiny balcony was one of the most relaxing moments.
I had a great stay at the hotel. Staff was really nice and even found a lost earring I had already given up hopes on. The dreamy yet unpretentious hotel leaves you wanting for more. I’m sure I’ll return.
